Looking to buy Infiniti G37 coilovers?
Since being released in 2007, the Infiniti G37 has been a popular car with tuners and racers a like.
Being a more luxurious version of the 370z, it weighs a bit more and doesn’t quite handle as well.

In this post I’m going to give you the best coilovers available on market right now for both the sedan and coupe G37 models.
Alright, without further ado, here are the 10 best coilovers you can get for the Infiniti G37 today.

Lowering: 0.8-1.2” (20-30mm) front, 0.2-1.8” (5-30mm) rear
Dampening Adjustment: Yes, independent compression and rebound
Price: $2614
One of the most high regarded coilover kits available, the KW V3 is known for its high level of engineering, 2-way independent adjustable dampening, comfortable street ride and extremely good resistance to corrosion.
KW test and tune each of their kits specific to the vehicle application in order to ensure the best ride and handling possible, and is one of the reasons they are so highly regarded.
The V3s come with their special TVR-A and TVC-A which allows you to fine tune the low speed compression and rebound without affecting each other, giving you the ability to maximize both grip and handling while maintaining a good ride.
Their shock bodies are made using KW’s special inox-line stainless steel, which has been salt spray tested for 220 hours and is extremely corrosion resistant, even in the harshest weather. Combined with their composite spring seat and adjustment perch, seizing is something you will never have to worry about with these coilovers.
KW also offer a lifetime warranty with their kits, which is the longest you are going to get anywhere.
They only thing I don’t like about the KW’s is that the ride height adjustment is done by the spring perch, meaning you lose suspension travel as you go lower, and the adjustment range is very small. But if that doesn’t bother you, these are a good option.
Features include:
- Ride height adjustment done by spring perch – up to 1.8 inches lower than factory
- 16-level independent rebound adjustment
- 12-level independent low speed compression adjustment
- INOX-LINE stainless steel shock bodies proven to last in any weather condition without corrosion

These coilovers feature special titanium composite springs designed by RS-R, along with special damper oil that is the perfect viscosity for each damper and offers extremely good heat resistance, ensuring the dampers stay consistent in all temperature ranges.
The dampers are a monotube design with 36-levels of dampening adjustment, adjusting compression and rebound simultaneously.
RS-R has also developed the dampers to not only have the optimal damping force, but also stroke rate, which gives the best possible feedback and comfort for the driver.
The upper strut mounts are made from a combination of rubber bush and steel mount to be the perfect balance between steering response and ride comfort.

Silvers is another brand that offers modular and highly customizable coilover kits.
Very similar to the Fortune Autos, they offer many of the same benefits with a lower price tag.
While the Silvers are made in Taiwan, they are made at Silvers’ own facility with strict quality controls. All kits are hand assembled and every damper is tested on the shock dyno. All the ones that don’t meet the 5% tolerance limit get scrapped.
Silvers coilovers are also upgradeable, so if you decide you need 2-way dampening adjustment with external reservoirs, you can send them in to be upgraded rather than have to buy a new kit.
They are also highly customizable, with Silvers giving you the option to specify custom spring rates with matching valving, upgrade to Swift Springs, Super Low and more. Silvers also pride themselves on the fastest turn-around times of any manufacturer, even for custom kits, which they say will get done in 10 days.
The dampers themselves are 52mm monotube, with a 4mm linear piston and digressive valving. This “hybrid” design gives you both extremely good responsiveness and handling while maintaining good ride comfort.
The shock bodies are 52mm and are electroless nickel plated carbon steel to ensure protection against corrosion and fatigue, even in the harshest weather.
Features include:
- Ride height adjustable by the shock body – 1-3 inches of lowering on the standard kit, up to 5 inches on the Super Low kit (depending on the model)
- 24-level dampening adjustment
- 52mm monotube dampers with 4mm linear piston and digressive valving

TEIN Flex Z
Best for: Street use with a track day or two
Lowering:
Coupe 0.5- 4.6 inch (12-116mm) front, 0.6-2.2 inch (15-55mm) rear
Sedan 0.5-4.9 inch (12-124mm) front, 1.2-2.8inch (30-71mm) rear
Dampening Adjustment: Yes, 16-level adjustment
Price: From $780
The TEIN Flex Z’s are some of the best value for money coilovers you are going to find.
For under $1000, there are few other kits that can compete with the amount of detail and engineering that has gone into this kit,
For starters, TEIN specifically makes each kit for the location that they are being sold to, to ensure that they are setup to handle the expected environment, whether that’s harsh weather or worse roads.
These coilovers are designed specifically to offer a comfortable ride while being able to handle intensive performance driving.
Using a twin-tube damper, which is not very common on aftermarket coilovers, these dampers are designed to soak up bumps on the road and maintain maximum driver comfort.
The dampers are also designed as a sealed unit, so while they can’t be rebuilt, TEIN sells replacement inserts, which actually makes replacing blown dampers not only cheaper, but quicker too, because you don’t need to send your coilovers in for a rebuild and wait for them to be returned.
TEIN will also custom valve the damper inserts to suit your needs, so if you want to change the spring rate, you can just let them know and they will make sure the dampers match.
They have also used their special patented powder coat and ZT coatings on the shock bodies and threads, to ensure these coilovers can withstand the harshest environments.
TEIN also has an excellent reputation for building quality coilovers, and the Flex Z’s are made in Yokohama at TEIN’s facility, making them a true JDM coilover.
You will struggle to find a better quality kit for the price of the TEIN Flex Z’s.
Features include:
- Ride height adjustment by the shock body – up to 4.9 inches lower
- 16-level dampening adjustment
- Twin tube dampers for a more comfortable ride
- Damper inserts replaceable
- Custom valving to match custom spring rates available
- Aluminium upper strut mounts
- Special TEIN no sag spring
- TEIN patented powder coat and ZT coating for maximum corrosion protection
- Made in Japan
- Compatible with TEIN’s EDFC system
ST XTA
Best for: Street use with a track day or two
Lowering: Up to 85mm
Dampening Adjustment: No
Price: $1874
ST suspension coilovers are very popular in the European car crowd and are a great option if you are looking to lower your daily driver. They have a good reputation of offering great ride quality even at low ride heights.
ST suspension is actually KW’s “cheaper” suspension line, which basically means that KW builds these kits. This kit is practically identical to the KW V2 coilovers, aside from the fact that these don’t have the special stainless steel shock bodies, instead featuring galvanized steel shock bodies. So if you live in a harsh climate, these might not be the best option for you.
Aside from that, these coilovers offer all the benefits of the KW V2s at a lower cost, which makes for a perfect option if you just want to lower your daily driver and don’t live in a snowy area.
They do however feature a composite spring perch so you will get some corrosion resistance, just not up to the level of the KW’s.
The ST kit offers 16-level rebound dampening adjustment allowing you to quickly adjust between comfort or handling performance, and up to 85mm of ride height lowering. The ride height adjustment is done by the spring perch, same as the KW’s, which is a negative in my eyes.
They feature linear “race” springs with helper springs to ensure you can go low without the spring becoming uncaptive.
Features include:
- Ride height lowering done by spring perch, up to 85mm
- 16-level rebound dampening adjustment
- Galvanized shock bodies
- Composite spring perch
- “Race” springs
Megan Racing EZ
Best for: Street use with a track day or two
Lowering: Not specified
Dampening Adjustment: Yes, 15-level adjustable
Price: $749
Megan Racing are highly regarded as one of the best budget coilovers you can buy.
Despite the low price, you will find countless positive reviews from people using them on both the street and track.
Sure, you may not get everything you would with a higher priced kit, but if you are on a budget and looking to lower your car, these are great option.
The EZ II’s are both height and dampening adjustable, giving you the ability to fine tune the height and the ride.
Designed primarily for street use, they feature monotube dampers with 15-level dampening adjustability. They also come with aluminium strut mounts.
You also get a 1 year warranty with these coilovers which is impressive given the low price.
Features include:
- Ride height adjustment by the shock body
- 15-level dampening adjustment
- Monotube dampers
- Aluminium strut mounts
- 1 Year warranty
Godspeed MonoSS
Best for: Street use
Lowering: Not specified
Dampening Adjustment: Yes, 15-level adjustable
Price: $675
The Godspeed MonoSS are another fantastic option for a very low price. These are the cheapest on this list, but still make for a decent option if you are really on a tight budget.
They offer ride height adjustment by the shock body, and monotube dampers that give you 16-level dampening adjustment and feature “race shock oil with a high viscosity index”.
The shock bodies are 52mm and made from carbon seamless steel, while the mounting brackets are made from forged aluminium for reduced weight.
Reviews on these coilovers are pretty positive, with many people praising the ride quality and handling. Obviously you’ll need to be realistic with what you’ll get for this price, but as far as budget options go, these seem to be a good choice.
You also get a 1 year warranty with these coilovers, which is amazing considering the price.
Features include:
- Ride height adjustment by the shock body
- 15-level dampening adjustment
- Monotube dampers with “race shock oil”
- Carbon seamless steel shock bodies
- Forged aluminium lower mount brackets
- True rear coilover
- 1 year warranty
G37 Sedan and Coupe Coilover Compatibility
Just a quick note before ending it regarding the differences between sedans and coupes.
While parts across the two models are interchangeable and are mostly identical, the coupe is actually heavier than the sedan, and therefore requires stiffer springs.
Most coilover manufacturers make only one model of coilover for both versions of the car, so generally you don’t need to worry about it.
But it is worth noting that the same suspension on a sedan will ride slightly stiffer than the coupe, due to the sedan being lighter. So if the coilover manufacturer does offer separate options, or gives you the option to order custom spring rates, it may be worth doing depending what model you have.
Conclusion
I hope this list has helped you to decide on a coilover kit for your Infiniti G37. I did my best to include coilovers to suit all needs and price levels, so no matter what your budget or requirements there will be a kit here for you.
